In a Nutshell

We are back in Arkansas - after 8 weeks of "vacation." We loved it - but it is good to be home again. To sleep in our own bed and shower in our own shower.

So what have we done since our last post?

Well.......canned. A lot. Peaches, blueberries, plums, pickles, salsa......my sister gave me a heads up on this mix.
It is perfect for those smaller canning sessions. There are pickle mixes, salsa, spaghetti, ketchup and pizza mixes. I got about 5 pints out of each mix, 8 with the pickles. It was perfect.

We spent some time in Tennessee. This is my parent's new dog - Jill.Jordan turned 14. Where has the time gone. We measured last night and he has grown 3 inches in 6 months! We went to a rodeo. I love America. Mid-America. I love cowboys and pickup trucks and the fact you can still pray at public events. You can still praise our country and our military. We saw a big bull run down a cowboy and the cowboy was able to still walk afterward. We also saw a cowboy go down by a bull and get taken off by an ambulance. I love Quarter Horses. I miss not having a horse.
Ethan loved the clown.
And his Aunt. And his cousins.I saw this movie - twice.Oh. My. Goodness. I can't wait to see it again. It was excellent. I have been thinking about it since I saw it. My last words of the show (out loud) "OH NO! No, no, no!!"

Now we have three weeks before school starts. And adjusting to only two kids in the house. Adjusting to the quiet. Adjusting to having to do chores again. Adjusting to the fact that we still have a long "to do" list.
