That's Right - Day Two

The morning started off good - left Ethan with the dogs in the motel room while I went two doors down to get some milk off the continental breakfast line and while Grandma made a waffle.  Lo and behold, Ethan was gone when I got back.  I asked the man with the hangover next door, who was sitting on the sidewalk outside his door,  if he saw a boy with Down syndrome and that would be a "no" (big helper there).  Then I walked around the front and a man was just telling me that Ethan had walked around to the front when Grandma came running up with Ethan in tow.

She said she heard him talking in the lobby and thought "how strange there are two boys with Down syndrome here at the same time" when she realized it was Ethan.

Apparently Ethan walked outside the motel door to talk to a man walking his poodle and didn't realize the door would lock behind him.  The man was kind enough to walk him to the lobby when he realized he was locked out.  He hoped Ethan would not get in too much trouble.  Yeah....right.

We started down the road.  Keep in mind that mom is learning how to use my iphone since she doesn't like me using it while I am driving.


When I asked her to get a picture of the "Welcome to Colorado" sign, she gave me this.

 Practice makes perfect.

We took several stops.  One for lunch just outside of Denver,

And another before we got to Rawlins, Wy.

Wyoming and Colorado are filled with windmills - I love them!

Jill and Ethan were fighting for the middle spot in the back - that is where it is the coolest.

Ethan topped the day off with two GF burritos and a swim.


 
Tomorrow we will be in Orem!!!
