The Week After

After a great Christmas and wonderful weekend - what is next? Balancing the checkbook, of course!

The greatest gift for Christmas was the phone call from Bryan - he sounded African for the first hour or so on the phone. He was using words in Twi that we didn't understand, of course, and some of their idiomatic expressions are unusual, so the younger boys had a great time trying to figure out what was said.

Bryan is happy. He loves Ghana and the people. He feels safer there than he did in Louisiana (haha). Most of the doors they knock on are homes inside compounds. Homes surrounded by big walls, barbed wire, broken glass, and men with machine guns. Go figure!

This is a picture of a real operational hotel. Makes you rethink Motel 6 :-)
