The first thing you have to know about Barbara Dean Shumway McGrath is that she has a hug for everyone! No one meets her who doesn't instantly feel like they are part of the family. She is the genuine real deal!
(Barbara with Megan and Megan's friends from Louisiana - they are part of our family!)Phil remembers always feeling special growing up because she always called him her favorite - even though he knew she said that to all the kids - the point is, she always took time to make each of the children feel special.
She is related to half of Arizona, at least, and knows who is related to whom by whom - it really is an amazing skill. She comes from pioneer stock and takes pride in her heritage. She shares fabulous stories from her youth, is an avid reader, and a gifted artist. She paints and makes flower arrangements and just has an eye for beautifying an empty space.
We love her tons - and she makes us so happy when she comes to visit - we miss her when she is gone.
